Pirates GM (Casey): I personally am not interested in it being a money league, just not my cup of tea. Payments for fantrax are due by April 26 Feb 5, 2015 14:24:24 GMT -5
Pirates GM (Casey): you pay fantrax direct, your portion, which is $2.67 Feb 5, 2015 14:24:41 GMT -5
Pirates GM (Casey): You can pay your portion at any time. You select the team you're paying for, and it will reduce the balance due we see on the front page. Feb 5, 2015 14:25:42 GMT -5
Red Sox GM (Alex): No sense in risking destroying this league by trying to convert it to a money league. Why not just start another league? Feb 5, 2015 14:39:17 GMT -5
Red Sox GM (Alex): V-Mart going for knee surgery! Feb 5, 2015 14:46:51 GMT -5
Cardinals GM (Matthew): It is impossible to do a 30 team money league unless you have people pay years in advance. Once one GM leaves a crap team, you will never find someone willing to spend money with zero chance of winning. Feb 6, 2015 10:42:47 GMT -5
Cubs GM: Makes sense Feb 6, 2015 17:13:56 GMT -5
Mariners GM (Pete): Profar down Feb 19, 2015 17:01:29 GMT -5
Brewers GM (Peter): Well that's frustrating Feb 19, 2015 19:21:30 GMT -5
Blue Jays GM (ashleyr): How many owners saw Boston getting Moncado. Most fans had him going to New York, but it is now confirmed that the Dodgers bid 35M, but they wanted him to wait to sign until July 2nd, so they could take advantage of unrestricted signings. lol. Feb 23, 2015 13:52:14 GMT -5 *
Mariners GM (Pete): wonder if Xander goes in a deal for Cole Hammels Feb 24, 2015 13:09:18 GMT -5
Pirates GM (Casey): from what I hear the Phillies asking is something like Xander plus 2 of their top 10, so unless they drop the asking price, Hamels is staying put until the deadline at best. And the Sox so far have refused to offer anything from their minor system. Feb 24, 2015 13:32:21 GMT -5
Pirates GM (Casey): But who knows what is true and isn't of rumors. Feb 24, 2015 13:32:35 GMT -5
Blue Jays GM (ashleyr): The latest rumours that have been around for months would have Hamels going to Boston for Swihart, Owens, Margot and Devers. Boston refuse to include Swihart and want to include Craig, Bradley or victorino, which doesn't help the Phillies rebuild. Feb 24, 2015 15:15:57 GMT -5
Blue Jays GM (ashleyr): The sticking point in any Hamels trade with Boston has been Swihart. They refuse to include him and offered Nava, Victorino, Craig, or Bradley with prospects that are all defense, no bat like Marrero and Bradley Jr. Philly don't want them. lol. Feb 24, 2015 15:18:06 GMT -5
Cardinals GM (Matthew): A realistic offer for both sides is likely something similar to Joe Kelly, Bradley, Marrero and a lower level kid like Wendell Rijo, with the Phillies picking up some of Hamels contract. Feb 26, 2015 13:26:16 GMT -5
Cardinals GM (Matthew): Anything more than that makes little sense from the Red Sox perspective, Amaro is trying to save his job with a Hamels deal for 2-3 elite level prospects and that's not happening, so it might take a change in Philly's GM before a deal is done Feb 26, 2015 13:27:45 GMT -5
Cardinals GM (Matthew): Either one of Jordan Zimmerman, Fister or Strasburg will be available for trade, same too for Cueto, maybe Samardzija, plus there are some other names not mentioned that could hit the market like Darvish, Greinke, Gallardo, etc. Feb 26, 2015 13:30:46 GMT -5
Cardinals GM (Matthew): Why pay a premium in talent for the right to pay Hamels $110M? That is what dumb franchises do, the Red Sox are not run by dumb people. Feb 26, 2015 13:32:51 GMT -5
Blue Jays GM (ashleyr): No, Boston would prefer to pay a free agent starter 300 million for ten years, when they could have Hamels for 110M and 22 M a year instead of 30M a year, which is what Zimmerman, Price, Cueto, Greinke, etc will be asking. lol Feb 28, 2015 0:48:15 GMT -5
